What is Johnson Screen?

Johnson Screen, also known as Slit Screen, is an industrial screen developed by Johnson Company. It is composed of shaped metal wires and support rods of different shapes, which are continuously welded by a specially designed resistance welding machine. The slit screen can be made into a flat plate shape, or a cylindrical, semicircular, fan-shaped, etc. The shaped metal wire can be set in a vertical strip shape or a ring shape.

What are the characteristics of Johnson mesh?
(1) The opening range is large and the opening rate is high.

(2) Each intersection of the special-shaped metal wire and the support rod is welded, so the precision is high and the gap is accurate.

(3) There are only two points of contact between the continuous gap and the solid particles, which is not easy to be blocked.

(4) The surface is smooth, the catalyst is less worn, the particles are not easy to crush, and the surface roughness of the screen bar can be as low as 6.3 μm.

(5) The continuous gap and smooth surface make the catalyst flow smoothly.

(6) The screen composed of special-shaped metal wires of different gap sizes and different specifications and connecting rods has good strength. If the operating conditions are harsh and the load is large, reinforcing materials and large-section connecting rods can be selected. The tensile force of each welding point can reach 2000~3000 N.
